TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Scope

This policy applies to purchases of digital subscriptions and in-app purchases for the RattleStork services (web and mobile apps).

2. No routine refunds (digital services)

All sales are final once access to the digital service has begun. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have (see section 7).

3. Purchase channel is decisive

Purchases via the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by the respective store operator. According to store rules, refunds must be requested via the respective store. We cannot issue refunds for store transactions.

Purchases billed directly by us on the web are handled according to this policy.

4. EU/EEA/UK — Right of withdrawal & waiver

Consumers in the EU/EEA/United Kingdom have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital services that are not provided on a physical data carrier, this right ceases as soon as we have started performance with your prior explicit consent and you have confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal upon commencement of performance. We obtain this consent and confirmation at checkout (separate checkbox) and confirm it by email. If you do not give consent, performance begins after the withdrawal period expires.

5. Manage & cancel subscriptions

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; access remains until then.

For Germany, if provided, you can also use the “cancellation button” on the website.

6. When we refund or credit

  • Technical failure on our side that significantly prevents access during a paid period for ≥48 consecutive hours and which we cannot fix within a reasonable time — pro-rata credit or refund at our discretion (only for web-billed purchases).
  • Duplicate/incorrect charges or unauthorised transactions — refund of the incorrect amount after review.
  • Mandatory consumer rights, where applicable law requires repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

7. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law (e.g. conformity of digital services, remedies for defective performance, chargeback rights under payment services rules or EU/UK cancellation rights, unless valid waiver applies).

8. Timing & method of refund (web billing)

Approved refunds for web-billed purchases will, where possible, be made to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank/payment provider. We cannot convert a store-billed transaction into a web refund.

9. Abuse & chargebacks

Fraudulent use of chargebacks, promotions or trial offers may lead to account restriction or termination — without prejudice to legal claims.

10. Request help or dispute

If you believe you are entitled to a refund/credit under Section 6 or by law, contact us within 30 days of the charge:
