1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how RattleStork UG (limited liability) ("RattleStork", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use rattlestork.org (the "Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them and what options you have. Where personal data is processed, our Privacy Policy applies additionally.

Legal basis: Storing information on your device or accessing it is governed by § 25 TTDSG. The subsequent processing of personal data is governed by Articles 6 et seq. of the GDPR.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. First‑party cookies originate from us; third‑party cookies come from external services (for example analytics or advertising providers). In addition to classic cookies, comparable technologies (for example local storage, pixels, beacons) may also be used.

3. Why we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary: Provision of the website, security and session management. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR; § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG.
  • Analytics and customisation: Reach measurement, error diagnosis and usability improvements. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TTDSG).
  • Marketing (where enabled): Campaign performance measurement. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TTDSG).

We only use non-essential technologies if you have given prior consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

4. How you can control cookies

Use our consent manager (‘Cookie settings’ in the banner or footer) to enable/disable categories or to withdraw your consent. Essential cookies cannot be switched off because they are strictly necessary for the requested functions.

Additionally, you can delete or block cookies in your browser. This may limit functionality. ‘Do Not Track’ signals are not uniformly supported across browsers; your consent manager settings therefore take precedence.

The basis are the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) with supplementary safeguards. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TTDSG). 8. Other technologies

We may use web beacons/pixels to detect page views or email interactions and to measure campaigns. These functions often rely on cookies. If you object to non-essential categories, functionality may be limited.

9. Flash cookies / Local Shared Objects

Some websites use “Flash cookies” (Local Shared Objects, LSOs). Management instructions can be found in the Website Storage Settings Panel and in the Global Storage Settings Panel. Restricting LSOs may reduce functionality.

10. Targeted Advertising

Where third parties (when enabled) serve or measure interest-based advertising, this is done only with your consent. The information used does not directly identify you unless you provide it. You can object to this at any time via our Consent Manager and the industry options mentioned.

11. Updates to this policy

We update this policy when technologies, laws or our processes change. The date above shows the current version.
