Return and Refund Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to purchases of digital subscriptions and in-app purchases for the RattleStork services (web and mobile apps).

2. No routine refunds (digital services)

All sales are final, once access to the digital service has begun. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have (see section 7).

3. Purchase channel is decisive

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by the respective store operator. In accordance with the store rules, refunds must be requested through the respective store. We cannot issue refunds for store transactions.

Purchases billed directly by us on the web are handled under this policy.

4. EU/EEA/UK — Right of withdrawal and waiver

Consumers in the EU/EEA/the United Kingdom have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital services, which are not supplied on a physical medium, this right expires, once we have begun performing the service with your prior explicit consent and you have confirmed that you will lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins. We obtain this consent and confirmation at checkout (a separate checkbox) and confirm it by email. If you do not give consent, performance will begin after the withdrawal period has expired.

5. Managing and cancelling subscriptions

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period; access will remain until then.

For Germany, if provided, you may also use the 'cancellation button' on the website.

6. When we will issue refunds or credits

  • Technical outage on our side that substantially prevents access during a paid period for ≥48 consecutive hours and that we cannot fix within a reasonable time — pro rata credit or refund at our discretion (web-billed purchases only).
  • Duplicate/erroneous charges or unauthorised transactions — refund of the incorrect amount after review.
  • Mandatory consumer protection rights, to the extent applicable law requires repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

7. Legal rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts rights you have under mandatory consumer law (for example, conformity of digital services, remedies for defective performance, chargeback rights under payment services rules, or EU/UK withdrawal rights, where no valid waiver applies).

8. Timing and method of refund (web purchases)

Approved refunds for purchases billed through our website will, where possible, be issued to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or payment provider. Transactions billed through an app store cannot be converted into a web refund.

9. Abuse and chargebacks

Fraudulent use of chargebacks, promotions, or trial offers may result in restriction or termination of the account — without prejudice to any legal claims.

10. Requesting help or requesting a review

If you believe you are entitled to a refund or credit under section 6 or by operation of law, contact us within 30 days of the charge:
